"The cigar is the perfect complement to an elegant lifestyle." -George Sand
Smoking Cigars is like falling in love. First, you are attracted by its shape; you stay for its flavor, and you must always remember never, never to let the flame go out!
Cigar Tip: How to Light a Cigar (Properly)
You do not light a cigar like you light the tip of a cigarette. It will take longer, so be patient. Before lighting, of course you want to cut it so air can pass through.
Never directly touch your cigar to the flame. Keep the cigar above and near the flame.
Rotate the cigar so the cigar tip is equally lit,
Take the first puff to see if it is burning evenly. If not, touch up the end with the flame.
Tip: Avoid using Zippo and oil-fueled lighters, or standard sulfur matches...you may get an odd or undesired flavor. Butane lighters or wooden stick matches will work better.
For the Cigar Lover in You, Baby
A good smoker, like a good lover, always takes his time with a cigar.
